How Well Do You Know Your Best Friend? — 50 Questions

Fifty questions to test how well you actually know your best friend — sorted from warm-up to reveal-tier, with the format that turns a quick game into a genuine catch-up.

What makes best-friend questions land?

Two rules:

  • Specific over abstract. "What was their exact karaoke song at your 30th" beats "what music do they like."
  • Verifiable. One right answer. The friend confirms.

Everything below passes both filters.

How do you run it?

  1. Pick 25 questions across the tiers (roughly 10-8-7 split).
  2. Best friend writes their answers privately.
  3. You take the quiz — either live (they read answers out loud) or on paper.
  4. Compare, laugh at the misses, catch up on the topics you got wrong.

Total time: 30-45 minutes.

Personalize it in 5 minutes

If you're in the same WhatsApp group chat, upload the export to WhatsQuiz. It generates 25-30 questions from real messages — usually funnier and sharper than the generic list because the answers are provable.

The one rule

Don't ask questions you don't already know the answer to yourself. A best-friend quiz is a proof, not a survey. If half the answers are news to you, you have a lovely friend and a slightly overstated title.

Frequently asked questions

How many questions is a proper best-friend quiz?

25-30. Fifty is a menu; you don't play all of them at once.

What's a passing score for a best-friend quiz?

80%+. Below that, you're a close friend but not a best friend. Above 90%, you've been paying serious attention.

Should we play it live or written?

Live if it's just the two of you — reading answers out loud is half the fun. Written if you're doing it in a bigger group.

What if we've drifted apart and I get most wrong?

That's information. Use it. The lowest-scoring questions are exactly the topics to catch up on next time you see each other.
